Privacy Policy
Aitoolnavio is a directory of AI tools. We collect as little as possible: no account is required to browse, we do not sell data, and nothing is stored on your device for analytics or marketing until you say it may be.
1. Who we are
Aitoolnavio (“we”, “us”) operates aitoolnavio.com. For the purposes of the UK/EU GDPR, the data controller is Aitoolnavio Innovations Pvt. Ltd., registered in India. We handle all contact by email rather than by post; if you need our registered address for a legal or regulatory purpose, ask and we will provide it. You can reach us at legal@aitoolnavio.com.
2. What we collect
Browsing the directory. You do not need an account, and we do not ask for personal details to read the site. Our server records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent) for security and to keep the service running.
Things you choose to send us. If you submit a tool, subscribe to the newsletter, or email us, we process the details you provide (such as your name, email address, and the tool information) in order to respond or to publish the listing.
Accounts — registering and signing in. If you create an account, you provide your name, username, and email address. When you register, and each time you log in, we also keep a minimal security record: the country your connection is in and a one-way hashed form of your IP address, together with the date and time and your browser’s user agent. We do not store your actual IP address, your city, or your precise location — the IP is used in memory only to work out the country and to produce the hash, which lets us notice repeated or unusual sign-ins without holding data that identifies where you are. We use this to secure accounts and detect fraud and abuse. It is stored against your account in a separate database and is not mixed into the anonymous analytics described below. This is not cookie-based and happens as part of the account action itself, so it does not depend on your cookie choices. The country is approximate and can be wrong, especially over a VPN or mobile network.
Analytics and marketing. Only if you consent — see below. If you decline, nothing in this bucket is collected at all.
3. Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are always active — without them the site cannot remember your comparison list or your cookie choice. They do not track you across sites.
Analytics and marketing cookies are off unless you switch them on. We do not load the third-party script before you consent to it, so declining is not a cosmetic setting — the script is never fetched. If you later withdraw consent, any cookies already stored in those categories are deleted from your device.

Your choice is remembered for 180 days, after which we will ask again. We will also ask again if we add a new cookie category or vendor.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — it takes the same single click it took to give.
4. Legal basis for processing
- Consent — analytics and marketing cookies. You may withdraw it at any time without affecting your use of the site.
- Legitimate interests — server logs and strictly necessary cookies, to keep the site secure and working; and keeping a minimal security record (country and a hashed IP, never the raw IP) of account registrations and logins to protect accounts and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Contract / your request — creating and operating your account, and processing a tool submission or a newsletter sign-up that you initiated.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the site — our hosting provider, our email provider, the IP-geolocation provider used to secure accounts (ip-api.com), our payment providers (Razorpay and PayPal, who handle card and payment details directly — we never see or store your full card number), and the analytics provider listed in the table above, which stores nothing on your device unless you consent. Each processes data on our instructions under a data processing agreement. Some of these providers are based outside the UK/EEA; where that is the case, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision.
Business transfers. If we are ever involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your personal data may be among the assets transferred. We will require the recipient to honour this policy, and we will notify you (and, where the law requires, seek your consent) before your data becomes subject to a materially different policy.
Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose your personal data where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or a valid request from a court or public authority, to enforce our terms, to detect or prevent fraud or security issues, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us. We disclose only what is reasonably necessary.
6. International data transfers
We operate globally and our own infrastructure and team may be located outside your country — including in India, where our operating entity is based. This means that when you use the site or hold an account, your personal data (including the account and login records described above) may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a country whose data-protection laws differ from your own.
Where we transfer personal data out of the UK, EEA, or another region that restricts international transfers, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognised by that region’s law — an adequacy decision where one exists, or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum, together with additional technical and organisational measures where needed. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguard we rely on using the contact details below.
7. How long we keep it
Server logs: 30 days. Account login and registration security records (country and hashed IP): 12 months, after which they are deleted. Account details: for as long as you keep the account. Cookie consent record: 180 days. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Tool submissions: for as long as the listing is published.
8. How we protect your data
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls that limit who can reach account and login records, hashed passwords held in WordPress rather than by us, and storing the account/login database separately from our public data. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data and is likely to create a risk to your rights, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and, where required, you, without undue delay.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data: to access a copy of it; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to how we use it (including any use based on our legitimate interests, such as the account security logging); to data portability; and, where we rely on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your past use of the site. You will never be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of them, email us at legal@aitoolnavio.com. We will respond within one month (or sooner where the law requires), and we may need to verify your identity first. Making a request is free.
California residents. If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request access to and deletion of it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising in the way those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. To make a request, use the same contact address above.
India. As our operating entity is in India, we process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. If you are in India you have the right to access a summary of your personal data and our processing, to have it corrected, completed, updated, or erased, to grievance redressal, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity. You can exercise these rights, or raise a grievance, with our Grievance Officer (contact details in section 14), and you may escalate an unresolved grievance to the Data Protection Board of India.
Other regions. If you are elsewhere (for example Canada, Brazil under the LGPD, Australia, or another country with a data-privacy law), equivalent local rights may apply and you may exercise them through the same contact address. We handle every request under the standard that gives you the strongest protection available.
10. Complaints & supervisory authorities
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); in the EU/EEA it is the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work (a list is maintained by the European Data Protection Board); in India it is the Data Protection Board of India, after first raising the matter with our Grievance Officer (section 14); elsewhere it is your national or state privacy regulator.
11. Automated decisions, profiling & children
No automated decisions with legal effect. We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. The country we derive for an account is used to flag suspicious sign-ins for review, not to automatically deny you a service.
Children. The site and accounts are intended for adults and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher). If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Listing content, AI-generated material & accuracy
Where listings come from. Tool listings on Aitoolnavio are compiled from information that is publicly available on the web — the tool's own website and public directories — or submitted to us by users. We are an independent directory. A listing does not mean the tool's owner has endorsed, reviewed, or approved it, or is affiliated with us in any way.
What we will not list. Adult, pornographic or NSFW tools, gambling services, anything facilitating money laundering or terrorism, and — absolutely and without exception — any material that sexualises children are prohibited on Aitoolnavio, and submissions are screened for adult material before listing. The rule itself, and what we do when something gets through, is in the Terms of Service. It appears here only because that screening, and any report we are obliged to make to the authorities, can involve handling data about the person who submitted the listing — we may retain and disclose that information where the law requires it, as set out under “Legal and safety disclosures” above.
Company & developer details. Some listings show basic facts about the company that makes a tool — its name, the year it was founded, its headquarters location, its legal status, and the names of its founders. These are factual, public-record details taken only from open datasets and the company's own website (see the sources below). They are published to identify the maker of a tool. We do not publish financial information — no revenue, funding, valuation, or similar figures — and we do not publish private contact details, home addresses, or any personal data beyond a founder's name and public business role. Founder names are the personal data of public business figures, processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in accurately describing who is behind a tool. If you are named and would like your details corrected or removed, see “Your rights” above or use the Report inaccuracies link on the listing, and we will act on it.
Links to other websites. As a directory, our pages link out to many third-party tools and sites we do not operate or control. When you follow one of those links you leave Aitoolnavio, and the destination site's own privacy policy and terms govern what it collects and how it treats your data. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies before providing them with any personal information.
Some of what you read is written by AI. Tool descriptions, key features, use cases, pros and cons, and the automated “Tool vs Tool” comparisons are generated by an AI language model working from the tool's publicly available material. They are not written by the tool's makers and they are not hand-verified by us. AI systems can be confidently wrong: a listed feature may not exist, a stated limitation may have been fixed, and a comparison may misrepresent either product.
Treat it as a starting point, not a fact sheet. Pricing, features, and availability change constantly and our information may be out of date. Before you rely on anything here — especially before you pay for a tool — check the vendor's own website. Nothing on this site is professional, legal, financial, or technical advice, and we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of it.
Popularity is a rank, not a measurement of quality. The global rank shown on a listing comes from a third-party domain ranking (see below) and reflects the approximate reach of the tool's website — how many people visit it — not how good the tool is. A small, excellent tool will rank below a large, mediocre one.
Trademarks and images. Product names, logos, screenshots, and brands are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification and descriptive purposes only. This does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
Sponsored placements and links. Listings marked Sponsored are paid placements. Some outbound links to tools may carry a referral tag from which we may earn a commission. This never changes what we write about a tool, and paid placement is always labelled.
Found something wrong? Every listing has a Report inaccuracies link, and tool owners can Claim this listing to correct it or have it removed. We act on these — please tell us and we will fix it.
13. Data sources & attribution
For tools that own their own domain, we show website-engagement estimates — monthly visits, bounce rate, average visit duration, pages per visit, global and country rank, traffic sources, and the top countries by share — sourced from SimilarWeb through a third-party API provider (RapidAPI). We fetch these figures for a tool only when that tool is requested, store what is returned, and refresh it periodically. They are SimilarWeb's estimates of a third-party website's public traffic — not measurements we make, and not data about you. They describe the tool's website, can fluctuate, and may be out of date. Where a tool sits on a shared host it does not control (a github.io page, a social profile), we show no figure, because that traffic is not the tool's to measure; tools we have not fetched simply show no engagement panel.
The traffic we do measure is our own. We keep a first-party record of activity on this site so we can see which tools people actually choose, and which searches we fail to answer. For each event we store the page or tool, the date and time, the site you arrived from (the domain only, and only when it is not one of our own pages), any campaign tag in the link you followed, whether you were on a phone, tablet or desktop, a two-letter country code where our host provides one, and — for searches — the words typed and how many results came back.
We never store your raw IP address. Not in this anonymous analytics, and not in the account security logging described in section 2 (which keeps only a country and a one-way hashed IP). Here the IP is used in memory only, to work out the country and to produce a short hash that lets us count a returning visit as one visitor rather than five within a single day. That hash is made with a secret that is thrown away and regenerated every day and is never written to disk, so it cannot be reversed to identify you and cannot connect what you did today to what you did yesterday. There is no cookie and no account involved, and these records are deleted after 120 days. Because it holds nothing that identifies a person, this measurement runs without consent; the third-party analytics in the table above still do not run unless you accept them.
Company & developer details. Where we show who makes a tool — company name, founding year, headquarters, legal status, and founders' names — those facts are compiled only from open, freely reusable sources and the company's own website. We use Wikidata (released into the public domain under CC0), OpenCorporates (official company-registry data, licensed under the Open Database Licence), and the tool's own public “About”, imprint, or legal pages. Each listing names the sources used. We do not take this data from paid providers whose terms restrict republishing, and we do not display any financial figures. These are facts about a business, not data we collect about you as a visitor.
