What we store about your sign-ins
Country and a one-way hash of your IP — never the address itself, your city, or your location.
When you register and each time you sign in, we record a security event: the time, your browser’s user agent, your country, and a one-way hash of your IP address.
What that means
A one-way hash cannot be turned back into an address. It lets us see that two sign-ins came from the same place without us holding the place. We do not store your actual IP address, your city, or your precise location.
Why we keep it
To spot attacks on accounts — repeated failed sign-ins, or access from somewhere unexpected.
It is not affected by your cookie choice
This is not cookie-based, so turning cookies off does not turn it off. It is account security, not analytics.
Country can be wrong
It is worked out approximately and a VPN will change it. It is a signal, not a fact about where you are.
