Frequently asked questions about StitchFix

Are there actual human Stylists behind Stitch Fix?

Yes, Stitch Fix employs real human stylists who are fashion experts motivated to understand individual style preferences and evolving needs to curate personalized selections.

How does Stitch Fix determine pricing and fees?

Pricing is personalized to your budget; you set price ranges for different item types, and the stylist adheres to these ranges unless given permission for occasional exceptions. A $20 styling fee per Fix is applied, which is credited toward any items kept.

Is Stitch Fix a subscription service?

No subscription is required. You can opt for automatic deliveries on a schedule or order Fixes on demand whenever you need a wardrobe refresh.

How does Stitch Fix ensure the right fit?

The initial style quiz helps understand your sizes and fit preferences, and feedback on returned items refines future selections. Stylists use this information to send the best-fitting pieces.

How does my Stylist know what to send me?

Your stylist uses your style quiz answers, feedback on previous Fixes, notes you leave, and your Fix history to tailor selections. You can also request specific themes or complement items from your Freestyle shop.

How can I communicate with my Stylist?

You can leave notes for your stylist when scheduling a Fix, edit them until the stylist starts working, or use the Stylist Connect feature in the Stitch Fix app for direct communication.
