What the verified badge means
It marks a listing confirmed by the people who run the tool — not a quality rating.
A verified badge next to a tool’s name means the listing comes from the people who operate the tool: they submitted it and paid for it, or proved they own its domain and claimed it.
It is not a quality score, an endorsement, or a statement that the tool is better than an unverified one. It says the details came from the source.
Verified listings lead the New AI Tools and Free AI Tools lists, because confirmed information is more useful than unconfirmed information. They also come straight after sponsored listings on category pages. It does not lift a tool in the “most popular” order on the homepage or the Top 100 — see How tools are ordered in listings.
The badge comes with a paid listing, and with the one-time upgrade after a free claim. See Claiming your listing.
