What the verified badge means
It marks a listing confirmed with the people who run the tool — not a quality rating.
A verified badge next to a tool’s name means the listing has been confirmed with the people who operate it, rather than assembled from public information alone.
It is not a quality score, an endorsement, or a statement that the tool is better than an unverified one. It says the details are confirmed by the source.
Verified listings lead the New AI Tools and Free AI Tools lists, because confirmed information is more useful than unconfirmed information — not because the product is better. It does not lift a tool in the default “most popular” order, which is decided by the popularity score alone; see How tools are ordered in listings.
