About YourCVMaker

YourCVMaker is an online tool that helps users create, refine, and optimize resumes for applicant tracking systems (ATS). It offers three editing modes: Quick Editor for guided step-by-step creation, Advanced Editor for full customization, and AI Editor for conversational refinement. The platform includes built-in ATS scoring that parses uploaded PDFs to show what survives screening software, with one-click fixes to improve scores. Users can practice interviews with an AI interviewer that transcribes responses in real time. Resumes can be exported as designer PDFs, ATS-optimized PDFs, PNG images, or Word documents. The service aggregates job listings from multiple boards and ranks them against the user’s resume, with a job tracker to manage applications through stages from saved to offer. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and users can delete their data or account at any time.

Frequently asked questions about YourCVMaker

Is YourCVMaker really free to use?

Yes. The Free plan allows building, editing, and previewing a resume without requiring a credit card. Downloading the resume in formats like PDF, PNG, or Word requires the Pro plan, which also includes additional AI credits and higher usage limits.

Will my resume pass applicant tracking systems (ATS)?

Every template offers an ATS-friendly PDF export with real, selectable text in a clean layout designed to parse correctly in most screening software. The platform includes a built-in ATS scoring system that shows exactly what survives the screening process.

Can I import a resume I already have?

Yes. Users can upload a PDF, DOCX file, or their LinkedIn data export to automatically fill in experience, education, and skills. Alternatively, text can be pasted directly into the editor.

What file formats can I download?

Resumes can be downloaded as PDF (designer and ATS-optimized versions), PNG images, or Word documents, depending on the plan. The Free plan includes one ATS-friendly PDF download with a small footer credit, while the Pro plan offers additional formats without credits.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your account and resumes remain accessible even after cancellation. Users can delete their account at any time, which permanently removes all data. The platform is built to comply with GDPR and allows data deletion in one click.

Can I track my job applications?

Yes. The Job Tracker feature functions as a kanban board with stages such as Saved, Applied, Interviewing, Offer, and Rejected. Each job card links directly to resume tailoring, cover letter writing, or interview practice for that specific role.
