Browsing and filtering by category
Every category page has an in-category search, a pricing filter, sub-categories and four sort orders.
Start at Categories. Each category page gives you:
- Search in category — narrows to that category as you type
- Pricing — Free, Freemium, Free Trial, Paid, Subscription and so on, each with a count, so you can see how many tools are behind it before you choose
- Sub-categories — the narrower shelves inside the category
- Sort by — Most popular, Newest first, Highest rated, or Name (A–Z)
Pages show 36 tools at a time. Load more under the grid brings in the next set.
“Most popular” is the default order. It is not a single number — see How tools are ordered in listings.
Follow a category
The Follow button beside the category name adds its newest tools to your For you page and to a weekly email. See Following categories.
