Resetting a forgotten password
Request a reset link from the forgot-password page; it stays valid for 60 minutes.
Go to Forgot password and enter your email address.
The page gives the same confirmation whether or not an account exists for that address. That is deliberate: it means the page cannot be used to work out who has an account here.
If the address is registered, a reset link arrives by email. It is valid for 60 minutes. Follow it, choose a new password, and we will email you to confirm the change.
If you know your password and just want to change it
Use Account settings instead. You will need your current password, and the new one must be at least 8 characters and different from the old one.
